NOLA Crawfish Festival

NOLA Crawfish KING and Live For Live Music hosted the second annual NOLA Crawfish Festival, introducing some of New Orleans’ finest musicians, food, and drinks at Central City BBQ, located on 1201 S Rampart. The festival was hosted in between the Jazz Fest weekends, for three days May 1-3 from 3pm-10pm. This year’s talent included George Porter Jr., Eric Krasno, Luther Dickinson, Ivan Neville, and many more.

For general admissions you were guaranteed minimum of two pounds of crawfish with all the fixings. Single day passes will be available, but a three-day pass is the best way to enjoy the full experience. A limited amount of  VIP passes that allowed full circle access. Kids got in free.

Attendees were estimated to enjoy over 5,000 pounds of hot boiled crawfish prepared on-site by Chris “Shaggy” Davis and his NOLA Crawfish King staff, and enjoy some barbecue from the host vender, Central City BBQ.
The festival also included an Ultimate Crawfish Cook-Off, where twenty teams competed for the best crawfish boil determined he by a panel of NOLA celebrity judges.
